Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

upgrading from Vista to Windows 7

    Hi folks,

I have two Vista laptops, performance is terrible on both of them

I want to upgrade them both to Windows 7

I am happy to do a "clean" install, there is nothing on either machine that can't be backed up.

    What product should I buy?
(the new OS on disks including softcopy of the manuals..?)
Is there a cheaper way to do this by downloading an ISO and then burning it myself

Can I use the same product to upgrade both machines?

Do I need to worry about drivers for the wireless/802.11 hardware?

    Thanks,

    S

As far as downloading the ISO is concerned, thats illegal, and I'm pretty sure we cant talk about it here.

But I can say from experience, Windows 7 comes with a lot of drivers preloaded, so you needn't worry about that.

You need to purchase a install for each machine.
If money is a concern, go with Ubuntu instead. It's free and very good.
