From the absolute master of getting ripped (and stronger), Clarence Bass.

    http://www.cbass.com/Protein_Muscle.htm

In short, negative meal stacking works, and supplements are unnecessary, given the proper diet.

For those of you who don't know him, he's the author of the 'Ripped' series, and has lowered his bodyfat to as low as 2.4%.

No, quite alive, I assure you. Here's his ab shot at that point. Of course, it can't be maintained, but the man is a testament to pure will.

'A Review of Issues of Dietary Protein Intake in Humans'
by Shane Bilsborough and Neil Mann

Its online in pdf form somewhere, or I can upload it for anyone who wants it, its 20pages long / 180kb file

    Ding! We have a winner!

The glossy advertising, the pics of steroidal, posing meatbags, etc....

It's a business, and a business that's an industry. Almost like cigarettes. All that extra protein is just piss and kidney abuse.

There's some great articles on cbass.com. Thanks for that!

Just as an aside it's worth qualifying that no matter how much you scale your protein intake and utilise supplements, Bass did not get to 2.4% bodyfat using whole foods or supplements. That doesn't mean the article or any of the articles on the site are wrong, it just frames the information a little better. Some guy though.

So protein supplements dont work if your diet is lacking in protein?

    Come up for air....

its common knowledge that supplements are unneccesary if you have a good diet(not even a perfect diet but a good one) however most peoples diets are far from good and they are a way to easily and cheaply improve them. so do we really need to debate this again?

    supplements work

    whole foods work

educate yourself and then choose your own mix of the above for yourself and its no1 elses business

edit for an honest easy to read impartial look at each type of supplement and its pros and cons i would recomend john berardi
