Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ok so i make alot of calls using skype and another work application which only works with a usb headset. dont ask me!!

Is there any free applications out there which will allow me to record the conversation directly from the sound card. I have the memory of a fish so would be very handy to be able to go back over the calls.

Its easy to record my voice but im not able to get the other person recorded.

Also id be willing to pay for the software or source it elsewhere ;)

I think the problem there is that when recording you can only select one source to record from. So when you're having a conversation and recording, the recording software is hearing the 'mic' output. However the other person's voice will be playing through the 'wav' output (this might be called something else). Not sure if there is a piece of software that can record from two different sources. Maybe if you ran two instances of something like Audacity, and selected the two different sources, it might work.

How does free sound? This is how it is done on a mac.

I don't know if there is a PC version of soundflower but jackaudio seems like it can do the same thing.

Stuff like this is usually a bit tricky to get working at first.

Tried a demo of this program a while back, Prettymay, works really well within Skype, and let me record calls in 15 minute segments. Sound quality was excellent (though I ended up editing the mp3s in Audacity to make them stereo as I'd be on the Left channel, and the other person would be on Right). Helped me learn more about Audacity too, so that was a plus :D
