Is There Anyway To Find Out If There Is Broadband In Your Area?

    im using the o2 3g wireless modem and its grand but it can be terribly slow. just wondering if there is some site or someone i can call to find out if there is any company with broadband around my area?

    your best bet really is to just put your telephone number into eircoms line checker, link below. If this comes back saying your able to get broadband then you can have a look at Eircom, Vodafone, UTV, Smart Telecom, Digiweb - they all will generally provide broadband if eircom can.

    Another option is to see if UPC can deliver broadband in your area - www.upc.ie

    Mention your area here, and someone might know of something. Be fairly specific, without giving an actual address, for best answers.

    There is the Govt broadband website, but it's woefully out of date, and was never all that accurate.

    And it's currently offline.
