Since I posted this forecast over in the main thread yesterday I thought I should follow it up with some pics.

This is what I saw on the fire escape when I opened my curtains this morning:

The only thing I could find to show you the height of it was the hurl, that's a 35inch hurl and from my measurements it's about 16inches anyway. I think it's higher on the ground cause that's a metal grid it's on there.

Meant to have some friends coming over to watch the rugby match but they couldn't even walk here, there's just too much snow. I'll try to get out and take a few more but it's tough to walk anywhere.

It's tough to actually go anywhere with snow up to your knees!!
I just got done shoveling all around the house. Check out the stuff stuck on the wires!

So I got out and about yesterday, went for a long walk and headed into the park, it was tough going, my legs were killing me when I got back. Anywhere the sidewalk wasn't shoveled it was up to my knees and impossible to walk in so everybody was just walking on the street.

It was really busy too, I've never seen so many people around, there was people everywhere out shoveling, sledding, taking photos and just enjoying the snow, not many cars around and the buses weren't running so that made a nice change. All I had was the camera phone but I got a few nice snaps.

EDIT: Sorry that thumbnails are so small, I think if you click on the first one you can browse through my album in Imageshack.

A few views along the street, lot's of people out.

Lot's of branches and trees down with the weight, I saw a few wires down too and part of the city is without power.

These people won't be going anywhere for a while :D

I grabbed a photo of this sign for the botanical garden because I thought it was most appropriate!

Some of the roads around the park, they were all ploughed.

At least people were making use of the golf course, the University of Pittsburgh is in the background.
