Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's Apple - do they generally give anything, even point releases away for free?

You'll be able to upgrade as far as 10.5.* (Leopard), but not any further. As of 10.6 (Snow Leopard), Apple removed support for PowerPC (which is what a G4 is). You won't be able to buy a copy new, but eBay should be able to help you out.

Depending on the age of the tower, it may even refuse to install 10.5. He might only be able to install 10.4.11.

You wouldnt spend much money on a G4 tower. A mini would make more sense and you get the OS thrown in. Even 2nd hand.
