Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Audi A4 2006 1.6, No heating on drivers side

The fathers A4 is only heating on the passenger side, the climate control is split between the driver and passenger, each side with its own controller, no matter what I set the drivers side for it blows out cold air, even when set at 28deg, the passenger side is heating ok. Its becoming a problem as the windscreen wont defrost or clear away moisture. The indy mechanic said it didnt show any fault code (I dont know what equipment he has or used), he also said it could be the thermostat which can only be got at by removing the alternator. Has anyone encountered this problem? or have an idea where I could get someone with Audi technical experience apart from a main dealer? Thanks in advance, M.

This can be caused by a temperature sensor inside the air vent but I would imagine that this should also show up a fault code.
It can also be caused by a little motor on the heater box inside the car that controls a flap to allow hot air to come out.

I'd say it's more than likely the motor!

get it diagnosed with vag-com (vcds) diagnostics it is dealership level and can operate all the flaps and valves in the car
