Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

silver satin shoes

I have a pair of silver, sort of satin heels which I love.
Unfortunately, the last time I went out they got a little dirty. Nothing too serious, just some dirt from walking in grass and a little black staining beside the toe...
Does anyone know a <safe> way to clean satin without destroying it?

    I'll be forever grateful :o

    Hi,

There was a post here recently and people suggested that you use washing powder or soap diluted in water and to wash in the direction of the grain of the satin.

I would reccommend using a baby wipe first, as it would be a lot milder. If that doesn't work then try what Miaireland suggested.

+1 on the baby wipe! I've baby pink satin shoes that I ruined with nightclub grime. Wiped them with a baby wipe as a last resort and it worked a treat! :P

    Thanks so much guys!
I tried using a mild make up wipe and it really worked :)
There's still one or two little patches but I don't think they're that noticeable and I don't really want to mess with them further so I'll leave it at that!
Thanks so much, I'm so relieved...!
