Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rights when buying a car

If I buy a 2nd hand car from a dealer, with a 3 month warranty (or 3,000km - which ever comes first), that breaks down within 3 months.

    What are my rights?

Does the dealer have to repair the car - no matter what the cost is?

Depends on the specifications of the warranty.

Be more specific if you want an actual answer, all this if and but carry on doesn't lend itself to propor replies.

If it is an engine & gearbox warranty, well only those things would be covered and presumably items directly related to engine & gearbox. In my opinion, those warranties should be outlawed as with modern cars, there is a hell of alot more things more likely to give trouble.
