Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I want to download HJT (High Jack This) but it gives 2 options,
Installer or Executable but yet both can be saved or am I missing something, I want to install it but why the other option?

Generally (though I've never used HJT), an installer downloads a little file then that little file pulls the additional data it needs from the web as it installs.

The executable downloads the whole lot, so you can run it off-line. This can be useful if your PC is running spyware that interferes with your internet access.

Depends where you get it from.
Download from here http://download.cnet.com/Trend-Micro-HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10227353.html <- reputable source.
Once downloaded to desktop, double click it. It install on your PC and then you can run and save a log file.

One will "install" the utility and the ingrained "exe" file (and to a default location - unless you say different)
    - the other is the actual file that no matter where it is, IS the actual main file that starts up.

If you are installing on the same machine as you are downloading, there is little different, but if you want to install in on a different machine (say one with a bad net connection) or several machines, the installer options is handy.
