I just put guitarpro 5 on my laptop, but when i open up a page the numbers don't show up on the tabs.
Any ideas on how to fix it?

What do you mean by "open up a page"? Do you mean open up a tab? If so, I've just checked a few and they all have page numbers displayed by default.

Check that you're not in Parchment view mode as that doesn't seem to display page numbers. Click the View menu and select Page Mode or Multitrack View depending on your preference.

Still no luck!
The numbers don't show weather i write my own tabs or download one.... Any more ideas?

Appreciate your help

That is strange. You've definitely clicked View->Page Mode? When I do that and scroll through a tab, the page numbers appear on the bottom of the page, to the right of the copyright notice. See below:

That is strange. I suppose you could try their Customer Support page. Maybe they will know more. They've helped me in the past when I had Guitar Pro problems.

Actually, for the sake of completeness, can you post up a screenshot of your Guitar Pro's View menu and also a screenshot of the lower right of a new tab where it should say Page 1/1?

I think he is refering to the fret positions on the strings as opposed to the page numbers?

Reading over this thread again, that's quite possible :). I made it clear I was talking about page numbers so the penny should have dropped then. We'll see anyway if the OP posts up the screenshots like I asked.
