Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Finally have time to read these books so I bought them off the Book Depository!

Amazon are buying them out though so they'll probably make them more expensive and add a delivery fee :(

Ya, I bought them last year off The Book Depository and they were all about 10-20 euro cheaper than in the bookshop. Still not sure what I need though :(

Yeah they are! I really hope that they don't up the prices and include a delivery charge! It is such a great site like it would be a shame to ruin it. :(

Hmmm I hope UL have a book list because BD is a whole lot cheaper. Is it true that you don't always need every book you're told to get it?

Depends what course you're doing I'd say! If you were doing something like English with certain books to review you'd obviously have to get them. A lot of the time you're given a few books that would help but they're all similiar, so you'd have to do some research or get some out from the library to see which one you like :)

There is a certain amount of genius in owning a kindle and studying lots of rather old english. No copyright so legally free.... ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,405 ✭✭✭RHunce

Actually that brings up a question, are you able to get textbooks on the kindle? I know it depends on the course but are they beginning to publish them in e book format?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,871 ✭✭✭Conor108

Well Amazon just started a 'Rent college textbooks for the Kindle' thing so probably

Loved the first book. I'll let you know how these compare. 300 pages into A Clash of Kings and it's a straight off continuation of the first book. Only thing to note is that I'll be heading off to Irish College the weekend. I will post about the book but you'll probably be onto them yourself by then.

man I wish college football in Ireland was popular enough to merit it's own game :(

had to make a new American PSN account and EA account to play online with this but well worth it... anyone that plays Madden show consider giving NCAA a bash for a year for a completely different experience.. I've owned it for 12 hours now and have to say I'm loving it more than any Madden I've played since Madden 04 which was the first I ever played or experienced american football :pac:

but yeah - this is a great game
