Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah some good ones in there, but harsh enough on campbell and bent,
campbell was evertons top score 3 seasons in a row, bent had 2 good seasons for charlton even when they were relegated he managed 13 goals, but hes hardly dissapearred off the face of the earth, still banging them in for sunderland, and he finished the 2008/2009 season as spurs top scorer
Yes you're probably right, they just came into my head for some reason. I dont think Bent made any serious impact at Spurs though.

Kevin Campbell at Everton 01-02 (i think)

Not at all mate! He wasn't exactly a prolific goalscorer (scored 12 in 99-00, 10 in 00-01, 7 in 01-02) but he was the best Everton could have gotten at that point. He saved us in those dark years. He also played a part in our mini resurgence, scoring 12 goals in 02-03.

Walter ****ing Smith would have dragged this club into the first division if it hadn't been for Kevin Campbell! If I could meet any player and just shake his hand, he'd be fairly near the top of my list, to be honest :)

    Jason Lee at Forest 95-96

Baddiel and Skinner ruined Lee's career :pac:

    Ipswich Town in 00/01.

Finished fifth and qualified for the UEFA Cup and then got relegated the next year.

And only pipped to 3rd and 4th places by Liverpool & Leeds!

That was brilliant! Souness bought him before he ever saw him play! He was told it was George Weah's cousin. Brought him on against Leeds and took him off 10 mins later! Never played again!

Not really. I cant ever remember him reaching double figures in the scoring charts there. He always played second fiddle to Ian Wright and Alan Smith. That reminds me, Campbell had 3 years at Forest and only had 1 good year in 97-98 when he scored 23 goals to get us back into the Premiership.
