    Hi,

I paid a total of €190 for a flight last week with Aer Lingus and now I need to cancel. I understand the fare is non refundable but does anyone know about the taxes, baggage & handling charges i paid?

    Here's the breakdown:
    Fare: €90
    Taxes & Charges: €61
    Baggage: €30
    Handling Fee: €10

Should I be able get €101 back?

    Thanks.

Yes but you have to pay an admin fee.

    No.

You will be eligible to apply for a refund on the taxes portion - €61

However, this will subject to an administrative fee, which I *think* is €20 per leg per person.

This is detailed on the Aer Lingus website here

So it looks like you would get €21 back (which I would still apply for). You have to apply for the refund within 1 month of the booked travel date.

Nightmare. Flight leaves in 2 weeks. :(

I guess another option is to change both legs of the flight for somewhere else. There's a €35 charge on each change but if i can get a cheap rtn to London then at least I'll get a flight out of it and mabe some change...
