Switching from Eircom to Smart

I am currently paying 40 Eur per month + VAT for Eircom 8MB DSL. Looking to get the cost of this down, and Smart 7MB looks to be around half the price.

Is this a total no-brainer like it seems? Do I need to switch from Eircom to Smart entirely? What's the catch?

Smart BB would not be 1/2 the price as your not including line rental i suspect.. would be a no brainer if it was and everyone would be on it:(
check if ur in a smart enabled exchange and your BB speed should improve
just applied for smart 7Mb myself as it is cheaper than the eircom 3mb .. not too interested in call costs as i just use BB
hopefully it will improve the speed somebit getting 0.44mb/s just now but if not at least im not paying eircom for their contention disaster

Eircom 'Business Starter' 8MB is 40.00 ex rental.

Up to 8Mb Business Starter is €40 ex vat

7mb (BB only) is €40 + vat

Thats excluding line rental (€26)

Smart is €46 (incl line rental) its 48:1 has a download limit

UTV do 8mb for €48.99 (same as your current)

ok if you are a business customer so you may have to weigh up all options, phone call costs, speed - download + upload, DL limit,
you may want to check are you in a smart enabled exchange also

Its 48:1, unless your on the smart network and not just resold eircom product.
