AS the title says, I want to connect a USB pen drive to the Ford 6000cd stereo that came with my fiesta van. Is this possible?

No not possible, your options are limited to either having a wired mp3/ipod connected to it with an adaptor or else using an fm transmitter from the earphone jack of an mp3 player or ipod.

From an eBay seller I bought a device that plugs into cig-lighter socket, takes USB stick or SD card or 3.5mm jack from another device.Plays MP3 off these and transmits via FM to car radio. It even has a remote control !

How much I hear you all ask in amazement ? [SARCASM ....]

less than 7 euro including post from HK

I have that exact player... was $7 from Dealextreme. Very good sound quality for what it is. Only complaint is you need to be Steve Austin to read the display.

Not cheap, but might do the job depending on the revision of the stereo...

It looks like the version of the Ford 6000 I have doesn't have bluetooth either so no hands free for phone. Would like to solve both problems with the one hit. Was thinking of using this. Will this automatically pair with phone each time its within range or do I have to manually do this every time?
