Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Possibly the wrong place to post this.

Has anyone any experience of selling gold and silver jewellery to any of these places that seem to have popped up looking to buy it since the recession kicked in?

Just wondering if it's worthwhile or do you get a pathetic amount back for something say, gold that cost you about €250.

    just curious.

You didn't read the irish times yesterday when they had a two page spread on it then??

Those cash-my-gold things over the post are not good value. Typically 9% value is what you get for your gold.

On-street retailers/jewelers are much better value.
