Haha yeah, its great to finally have some players over 20k CSR :) got 4 of them. What exactly was the point in this if every players CSR increases isnt it pointless?

They changed the formula, as far as I am aware players with more allround skills gained and specialists lost slightly. ie my players have roughly rounded skills, no player has 15 in one skill and 2 in another for example. it doesnt make a difference overly, just linked CSR more closely to the skills.

I could be corrected though on that!

Some higher csr players (way above any csr my team has) decreased.

I think that the thinking was that changes in the old csr didn't reflect changes in skills at low levels accurately.

It changes absolutely nothing in the game though (it might make scouting other teams easier once used to the system but I'm not sure)

My guy has gone from 80k to 75k

I can see transfer market prices going even higher now. A 12k CSR player will suddenly look a lot better with 16k or 17k CSR.

Yup now is the time to sell

How is this going to effect wages? If I'm facing a jump in wages I'm going to have to completely overhaul my squad!

I had the classic low-csr but decent back-up prop situation going on, but he's now jumped from approx 3,000 up to about 8,000 ... so can I still afford to keep him if he's going to cost the same former price as my starting props?

Must take a seriously look at how this is going to turn out, I was getting by with just one 20k+ player but now I've a rake of them.

Oh, just before anyone goes on a mad selling spree, the transfer market is currently displaying the old CSR values, so maybe it's better to wait until that changes and then jump on the band wagon o' gold. :)

Hadn't checked yet, but was going to put a few on sale in next few days so they end around league match day. I am guessing that they wont show CSR until start of next season when the CSR calculation changes totally replace the old calculation methodolgy?

    Just had a streaker!:D
Woo-hoo! A rather gorgeous young lady from the crowd is sprinting across the field in a bikini! Wow, look at her go. Two security guards on chase now. They're closing... closing... they try to box her in. She tries to make a side step and slips over straight onto her bum. The stewards form a ruck over the top of her, they'll be lucky not to be penalised for 'holding on'! Back to the rugby as she waves goodbye to a huge ovation from the crowd!

I won 21 - 17 against a team I expected to beat me. I haven't had a look at his team yet but I think he might have WNWIM'd me. I'm so happy ha! Im up to 3rd, it won't last but still :D

Yeah I played a weakened my team with normal tactics in a game I expected to lose and even with them having a far superior CSR I wont 22-12! Not a bad day at the office as I can go for the board cup now (well the **** end of it anyway)!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,386 ✭✭✭jprender

I had a WNWIM agreement for yesterday's game.

I played WNWIM, my opponent played NORMAL

    I lost 15 - 7.

Disgusted tbh, as it means my league campaign is now over until next season.

Hang on, Wandering Wanders is a boards.ie team! OUTRAGE!

I think i read somewhere else on the forum that he hasn't accepted the Boards.ie fixture aswell. I reckon hes gone inactive or internet connection is down the pooper

    That is true.

Cody hasn't logged into Blackout Rugby for a week.

I played him last Monday in the boards cup and he played WNWIM.
He fielded the exact same team for our league match but the intensity was Normal.

No problem with internet, as he logged into boards.ie on Friday Night, the day before our league match.

I am sure that it was an honest mistake, but it still sucks donkey balls big time.

It's just a shame that the result ends my season so early, and places Cody 6 points clear of 5th place and odds on now for a playoff spot.

Surely it ain't over til it's over? We're just past the halfway mark after all. Have faith young jprender, who knows what may happen between now and then.

Nah Frankie, I am now 9 points behind 4th spot. It's too much given my league. There are realistically only a maximum 4 games that I can win between now and the end, and only 2 of those are a sure thing (I hope).

I'm looking behind me in the table now. Two wins and I ensure that I am not automatically relegated, and that's the plan. Then I'll take my chances in the qualifiers.

    DIV 3, LEAGUE 7

    http://www.blackoutrugby.com/game/club.league.php#page=standings&id=64273

If CSR is to go by, I am only the 6th best team in the league. It's damn tough !!

Yeah, thats a write-off league regarding promotion, wendylicious is absurdly strong for Div 3. Bit suprised she ended up relegated.

Relegation wouldn't be a bad thing given what you're up against. Promotion from Div4 to an easier league is your best bet.

Hard to judge an easy league though... I didn't realise Div 7 was a toughie. I was aware Div1&3 were beyond me, but I'm currently aiming for something like 7 myself.

Relegation would kill my team financially.

    I have a 9200 stadium that I wouldn't get close to filling.

Which reminds me to ask Frankie what his attendances/gate income are like this season, .....Frankie ?

Do you staff your stadium according to size or according to expected attendance ?

There are a few easy DIV 3 leagues but you have to be very lucky to land in one given the changes to the Promotion Table on the last day.

BTW Frankie, have you noticed that Carolan Crusaders are having a great season this time around ?

Bit of a killer in Div4. Had a look and it was about 5,000 on a cloudy day with a peak of 7,500 after a successful enough cup run on a sunny day (both figures from league matches against bots.)
It really does kill you financially, I had to get rid of some of my less developed prospects and I'm about to implement lvl3 trainers and dive even further into debt. If it wasn't for my cup run I'd probably be out of the game by now.

I staff based on complaints, as I assume most people do, and the bad news is the bigger the stadium the more staff you need, regardless of attendance.

Yeah, I noticed Carolan's having a good run... mad to think they just scraped last season with a bonus point. I'm nearly tempted to try and get back in that league for a grudge match! :)

That's what I thought. It would be like starting again for me if I dropped. I'd have to sell players, lower my training facility, and probably lose my Academy also.

I have to keep battling to stay up :D

It's true. Well, it's doable if you get dropped... you just need to stop spending. I'm not sure if I could cope if I had a training academy and better players. So yes, keep up the fight. Really you should be grand once you're not in an auto-relegation spot, alot of the teams who are in the playoff position for promotion are actually bots.
Must say I'm looking forward to the money available in Div3!

    i'm in DIV III.15

my div looks way easier than DIV III.7 -think every team in my league would be annihilated by wendylicious!

just kinda shows how uneven some divs get...even the lower teams in div III. 7 would be fighting for promotion in my league (wendys B team would probably win my league! )
