I just got it  What do you mean the screen rattles?

Well I've had mine a while but eventually like if you shake the base it makes a noise on top! It's nothing major but it irritates me :P

And the most unreliable brand on the market. (Ive dealt with enough of them)
Id run with an Asus like this or one of Toshibas Satellite range.
Just avoid anything a Celeron chip like the plague. Dirty chips :(

the most unreliable brand on the market. (Ive dealt with enough of them)

I'm running with a Novatech, I got it cheap without an OS and the used a pirated OS licence spare licence I had lying around.
Some colleges let you get cheap\free Microsoft software so figure out about that and you could save money on the OS. Or just go Linux.

Numbers say different. Only ranked behind Asus

Serious? I've never encountered a Satellite that hasn't failed miserably at some point or another [/anecdotal evidence]

    HPs are equally unreliable though.

Although laptops are like cars. A lot comes down to luck (and how much the owner fcuks about with them)

That's only a minor thing! How'd you find it other than that?

Would something like this be in anyway decent? I just want it for the internet and college really, doesn't have to be anything special.

    Is this one any good?
Maybe you could get something with a better processor or graphics card?

I think iTunes is the problem there :p
Dont see Chrome or Skype freezing things badly, unless you have a few Flash using tabs opened

I donttttttt.. I load one, watch it, let the other load whilst watching it, that'l be loaded in 10 mins, load another so forth..

Seriously, anyone who's running iTunes and doesn't need it for an iPod (most iPods up to the new Nano can run on other software now) should use WinAmp or something instead. Wouldn't dream of putting it on my laptop, barely works on my desktop

Your internet must suck if you need to wait for youtube videos to load.

€75 in Debenhams, or €67.50 with the 10% off that I think they have. I am having a huge fight with myself as to whether to get them. Soooo pretty!

My boyfriend was going to until he saw the price...

    Decisions, decisions... and I'd want to decide soon if I'm getting one of them for Xmas ;_;

iPhone has the convenience of not requiring me to have to deal with credit cards, but then I'd have to deal with iTunes... and my brother and sister won't stop going on about iMessage or whatever that service is called which sounds pretty cool, although I recall some app (Viber, I think?) that can do the same stuff so... I would expect both are really good, but no hands-on experience of either makes it quite difficult to decide.

This wouldn't be half as difficult if the stuff wasn't so expensive :(
