Does anyone else consider O2's advertising on this to be misleading?

As a Speak Easy customer, you can check online or through O2's automated phone system if you are 'eligible' for a handset upgrade.

But in reality, all Speak Easy customers are eligible for an upgrade every 30 days and regardless of spend or time as a customer, you don't get anything extra off the standard handset discount available to all Speak Easy customers.

Is it just me or is this misleading advertising?

Given I really don't pay attention to tv adverts what is O2's advertising in relation to this, what does it actually say?

It's not actually a TV advert but online and through their phone line.

    Online
When a Speak Easy customer logs in you see the message:
You are not yet entitled to an upgrade under the O2 scheme. We will let you know here as soon as you are eligible.

Or obviously the other option is to see a message saying you are...?

    Phone
You can go through various options to check your eligibility for an upgrade. The automated system tells you, lo and behold, that you are!

And then you find out that all Speak Easy customers are eligible...

With Speakeasy you can upgrade every 30 days, but the drip feed credit that you get cannot run concurrently it will be stacked every month.

there is nothing stopping you buy a phone every day you just won't be able to register it.
