Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi Anyone know of a garage with a hydraulic spring compressor in Cork ?
I have a few (8) coilovers I want to get taken apart. Would be easier safer and quicker to get a garage to do it.

    Thanks

Yes, it's a dangerous job and if you're unsure what to do it's safer getting someone who does.

Depending on what type of equipment they have, it could take between a half hour to 2 hours to do.

Yeah i was looking at getting a set of 3 spring compressors with safety catches but looking at the prices for them it would be the same to get it done in a garage and wold probably take me ages to do it.

They are fiddly to work with and do take a bit of negotiating to compress the spring, never work as easily as they should! I've heard a few horror stories about people getting badly injured using them - it's hard to comprehend the tension the springs are under.

Ask around a few garages to suss out what it'll cost - any decent garage or independant will have the proper piece of kit.
