Looking to buy some timber for a project I want to start tomorrow. I'm working all day today so I won't get a chance to have a look around.

I was at b&q last night and priced up:

    1 sheet of ply 8 x 4ft for €36.40
    40ft of 2 x 4(I think) timber for around €25
and some angle iron at 6ft long for around €20

Anyone know if I could get this cheaper anywhere else and somewhere that delivers maybe? I don't think b&q do!?

Bit of a weird request but I figured someone on here would know :)

    Thanks

Ah Jaze, don't be buying timber from B & Q.
Would you not go into Morris or even Brooke Thomas out at Six mile cross?
PS, what type of ply are you looking for?
    Also, PM sent

Yeah I really only went to have a look at rough prices..

The plan was to go to morris's but its the kinda thing where I just want to go in and get it and go home.. no looking around or anything.

As for the ply I should have mentioned that before.. Im looking to build something like this but a bit wider..CLICK!

So the ply's got to be strong.

PM sent back to you there gman

Ok. what exactly are you building - is it for internal or external?
If it's going to be anyway exposed to the weathering, then 20mm WBP (or Marine) ply should be used, not shuttering ply.

Edit, I see now on image title it's a skate box, but will it be an indoor or outdoor?

Yeah it will more than likely always be outside!

You'll pay more for the marine ply, and even more if you get it in B&Q:D

Yeah I asked a guy I work with today and he said go to DPL on Keanes Rd! They will deliver on a Saturday as well.

I plan on covering the whole thing in some plastic when storing it.. god know with the rain we get it will be ruined
