electric shower

    hi guys...i want to replace a 8.5kw shower with a 9.5kw shower...the cable installed at the mo is 10square twin and earth and its connected into a 40amp rcbo at my board...oh i also have a 45amp pull cord switch...can i just swap showers or must i change the cable size or rcbo size...thanks:)

    I'd say your good to go. The 40A RCBo will protect the 10mm2 cable and the switch so thats the main thing.

    Shower in theory will use close to the 40A but only over a long period at high temp.
