12v GU5.3 Halogen - Need LED version

I'm forever looking for these, all I can seem to find in the shops is GU10 which is no good to me

Is there any particular reason why its so hard to get GU5.3 LED's?

I bought a house last June and there are over 100 spots in it, the builder was a spotlight nut! There are 24 in the kitchen alone :mad:

Our ESB bills are crazy, 290 eur avg for the last 3.

I want to replace all the ones we have but can't seem to find the ones I need

they're available online anyway
but you need to check compatibility with your transformers
i've forgotten the exact details

i think the gu10 range of bulbs is simpler for the wholesalers

Get rid of your transformers and change the lampholders to gu10 if you can-you'll have more choice bulb wise.
There are low voltage LED'S out there though- Robus and Aurora are two brands that do them. Try an electrical wholesaler

the dc type work with a regulated power supply

the ac/dc type can connect to iron-core trafo/regulated power supply

they might also work with electronic trafos if the loading exceeds the minimum

the robus leds use a dedicated driver.i think it can be dimmed with standard dimmer
