    I was passing by Herbert Place, just off Baggot St. earlier and noticed that the whole road was blocked off by the Gardai. There seemed to be a lot of Gardai around as well.

    There doesn't seem to be anything about it in the news. Does anyone know what was going on??

    Yes, the radio says that there was a grenade found near the pepper cannister church.

    Was thinkin it was something like that alright. There were so many Gardai around, was suprised there was nothing on RTE news about it.

    It was an old grenade unearthed by building works and a regular enough occurance and not news worthy I guess.

    Yeah saw bomb squad flying down Mepsil Road with outriders around 3pm. Was wondering what was going on.
