I want to get a side fringe, help needed?

Ok, I'm 14 and I want to get a side fringe for a while now because I look kinda plain. I have auburn hair medium length with layers but they stick out and my hair is naturally wavyish but i usually tie it up so it gets a kink and goes sort of straight. I have blue eyes and an oval face.
I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what sort of side fringe I could get. I don't want a sweeping one because I know that won't look good (I'd look like a boy) and I don't want it in my eyes or annoying me.
Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

You've kind of eliminated all side fringes if you don't want one getting in your eyes!

It's not like that I don't want it in my eyes, I mean like a sweeping one I don't want that goes across the full forehead.
Thanks for those pics, I like the Reese Witherspoon one. Would it only look good with short hair though? I don't want to have to straighten my hair all the time.
