This is a thread discussing the fear and hopes we have for Bethesda's latest installment in the Fallout franchise due to release in autumn this year.

Apparently the story isn't related to the one that takes place in Fallout 3. My personal fear is that it will be targeted to the Modern Warfare market.

    What's the multiplayer like?

Yeah I thought it was odd that there was nothing on it.

Good interview with the Project Director of New Vegas here where he explains the new reputation system, weapon mods and companion interaction system.

Same old ****. What a shame, I loved Fallout 3 but it could have been so much more. Looks like all the problems with Oblivion are still there.

How did you come up with that? Its an RPG with no multiplayer and has nothing in similar with MW apart from having guns in it.
Forgot about that comment. I don't really know. Just hope it has a good story.

Yeah the collectors edition has been announced and Gamestop in the US are already taking deposits for it http://bethsoft.com/eng/news/pressrelease_051110.html
I assume we'll get it here too?

Yeah I was reading up about that earlier. Sounds like a pretty cool collector's edition. Some neat stuff in it. Fallout 3 is one of the few games I bought the CE of and I think New Vegas will keep up that tradition!

Won't be tricked into buying a special ed's ever again, I have Bioshock 2 and Fallout 3 special ed's the same way I got them ....... and in the box under the bed. Sure it looks cool but do you really need a bunch of stuff you'll not look twice at after the game is done

I know some folks love to have them but you really have to ask yourself is it worth the extra € ?

Just wait a few months for Gamestop to realise that no one is buying them and they need the stock room space. I got Fallout 3 and Mass Effect 2 collectors editions for €35 each that way.
