Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The touch that knocked the ball into the path of Sturridge was unlucky maybe, but the build up before that was quick and well done.

I think he was going to play for the ireland under 21's but then they never called him up so England did and Tardelli said he still hasn't contacted him aswell

Didn't he turn down the Ireland U21s while he waited for an England U21s callup?

I'd say O'Hara will play for England, he is very talented and is maturing into a brilliant player.

An absolute screamer from Mattock the west brom left back to draw the game level at 2-2 with a couple of minutes left

Really was piss poor defending. Wayne Bridge has started very very well. Having a lot of joy down the left. Crossing hasn't been that good though.

Good news for us Liverpool fans. That's another 90 minute distraction from the league for City.

city have no hope of finishing 4th.

Pool have it nailed on as far as I can see, they have the experience and with torres back (if he is back) they should be fine.

unless they implode over the last few months which i doubt

any one of a couple of teams could yet finish 3rd and 4th, its far too early to determine anything yet, this was the table as it stood on the 15th of feb 2009

Man Utd Pl: 24 Pts: 56
    liverpool Pl: 25 Pts: 54
    Villa Pl: 25 Pts: 51
    Chelsea Pl: 25 Pts: 49
    Arsenal Pl: 25 Pts: 44

villa would finish 21 points behinds chelsea and 10 behind arsenal

I'd back Liverpool to get it but to say City have not a hope is stupid. City have a really strong squad so injuries and suspensions don't hurt them as much as they hurt Liverpool.

What's to say Gerrard and Torres will stay fit for the rest of the season?

Totally agree, anyone that says City have no chance is living in gaga land.

City having two games in hand on Liverpool is a major factor. Liverpool have to beat City in their next league game to wipe out three points that City could get from one of those two games.

As it stands both Liverpool and City are on 44 points with Liverpool ahead by one goal on goal difference.

Liverpool losing to City would put City three points clear and still with their two games in hand.

It going to be a battle to the very end. It makes for a bit of excitement though for what has been a depressing season for a Liverpool fan. If Liverpool pip City to the post it will feel like a success of sorts. In a pathetic kind of way.:o

Been a bloody good second half to watch so far. Have a feeling that Spurs are going to step up another few gears as this half wears on.
