    Pangea,

I saw on the British news last night that the spring bulbs in Britain aren't springing, they said they were a month behind usual or something, because of the cold.

Can't say I've noticed any strange anaimal behaviour around here in the last couple of days... but I'll be keeping my eye out now, if I see a fox coming out of the chipper with curry fries I'll let you know. :)

Seen a dead cat on the road this morning, looking flat on the road and covered in frost. Snowfest on the way..?

GFS throws a system across the bulk of southern Ireland tomorrow evening.

Giving heavy snow in parts, especially the southern Midlands.

Its progs the system to move in off the west coast tomorrow afternoon.

Just expected to miss here though :rolleyes::o:D

Will be interesting to see how the system develops overnight and during tomorrow.

As conditions in the area arent far off what is needed for a PL, 500mb temps of around -38c

Another system quickly following in behind this during Saturday

wouldn't there normally be daffodils and stuff round now? or do the seeds die when it gets to -12?

I think they start breaking the surface around now... tbh I'm not sure if -12 would kill the bulbs, it probably just delays them creeping out of their earthly graves.

GFS develops a big system on Saturday evening.

So big infact it drags in some milder air but would be borderline snow.

Testimont to the fact that little low pressure cells are going to form at very short notice in the coming days.

12z has likely over egged things but illustrates the potential with that deep pool of cold air coming towards us.

Could be a few snow showers in Mayo later tonight according to the latest hi res update, as well as some parts of Ulster and North Leinster (esp towards morning)

I think whatever happens tomorrow will have a bearing on conditions Saturday Munster. The latest GFS has whet the appetite for the next 24 hrs

NAE wants to throw probably 15mm of precip.

    Accums of 10-15cms

Cloud wise the feature looks like becoming very large.

And look to the northwest for possible take 2.

Actually, what would be a great idea if Pangea opened up a 'natural signs' weather outlook thread. I don't doubt that nature can give us clues. Pangea, go for it, you seem to make the claim a lot, so howabout some forecasts dude? :)
