Bass starter packs

I'm lookin at either the Martini or SX Bass packs, cos I'm skint. Longtime guitar player wants to take up bass too. with a view to eventually "graduating" to a 5 string.

So,
Anyone have them and are they worth a f**k?

the sx basses are quite decent for the price.
wouldn't be too keen on the other one.
try going secondhand. i've a nice squier for sale

i started playing bass last august and i bought the sx starter kit for €240 with amp, bass, strap, electric tuner, dvd and the cable ha, but i find it good couldnt be happier with it to be honest. goodluck with the bass!

Another vote here, for the SX. Good value for the money, though the amp is not that great. You could also keep an eye on www.adverts.ie Some good bass and amp bargains there from time to time.
