[MW2 MegaLove thread]sunshine and lollipops

Happened me last night on PS3 but not on 360, was sitting in the matchmaking lobbys for ages and the % of matches was zero.

Got probably my most satisfying kill on S&D ever on Vacant, we spawned at the C flag area, which is a bitch to get out of if the other team is covering the exits, got nailed with a sniper trying to get out into the open, next round I ran to the far right in the warehouse area, threw down some smoke and scooted out to the far right over by the truck, whattyda know, the entire enemy team bar one is standing there, semtex stuck, boom, triple kill, got the other guy in last stand and a teammate nailed the remaining one, bah, sooo close to getting a whole team, I really wanna do it.

Got MW2 about 10 days ago but haven't really played it much. Only level 12 and have a negative kd but not really caring since I seem to always be the only noob and still dont know the maps or even played on them all I think. Was delighted to see the famas in my default loadout and was thinking of it in BOPs but when I got round to actually using it I got a fair bit of a surprise. Hate commando. Went back playing it last night after taking a few days off and was taking about 3-5 mins to get into a lobby last night and eventually just went back playing BOPs. Whats the most versatile gun you get early on? I'm kind of a famas/commando user in BOPs and flicking between the SCAR and M4 so far.

The UMP is a beast of a gun, but the Scar H ya cant go wrong with it really, i find it has excellent range. If your only a noob i started out playing with UMP with silencer and Marathon/Lightweight combo, i found it was excellent for getting around the maps quickly and after a couple of hours gameplay i knew the maps well enough to run Marathon/Stopping Power perks.

Stick with free for all or team deathmatch when starting too, generally the quality of players isnt as good as other game modes.

Nearly all the assault rifles in MW2 are good, personally I love the Tar21, the M16 and the ACR, but you wont get those for a while. when you unlock the UMP try use it for ages and get the 75 kills you need to get the silencer, then it becomes an utter beast of a gun, you can take people out from across the map, its more like a small sniper rifle with no scope on it. single round bursts and you can headshot people across half the map. its considered a "noob" gun but fcuk that, it works.

I love the scar myself, throw on a silencer and stopping power and its a killing machine. The tar is great too with the same setup which youre not too far from unlocking. My psn is in my sig too if you want to add me

Thanks for this man. I'm new to mw2 and I just tried this out with lightweight, marathon and ninja pro, utter beast with the silencer, i hate it without it. It doesn't need stopping power, all I do is flank them from behind and get easy kills. Makes you feel like Sandy Ravage :cool:

Gun sounds are ridiculously good - sound of a AUG or RPD going is enough to make me giddy with joy and want to drop my current gun and pick them up.

I got 480 kills with the ump yesterday, finally got the title for 2500 kills with it. Put my xbox away till after exams, too dangerous!

im back playing this recently and using the TAR-21 and the Vector. The vector is actually a beast of a gun. Only problem is the amma gets used up fierce quick

my go to class is a silenced ump, spas with grip and marathon,lightweight and ninja. smoke/semtex for tdm and smoke/tac insertion for demolition, love running around Wasteland blasting snipers as they dont even realise I'm running up behind them, mwahaha

Got pretty lucky with a standard ump/spas (no attachments), SOH, SP, SA (non-pro) there in Underpass. Rushed A and got a broken quad feed (bloody hitmarker), single, triple, single. Felt a bit like Sandy Ravage

Special mentions to the FAL, Vector, M4 and riot shield. Twas enjoyable using those guns and piece of kit again over the past few days.

Nah I doubt it man. I might rent it one more time during the summer, but the game had me on the brink a few times of going through another controller (I'm already using 2 broken ones, one accidentally and one on purpose )

It was a good change of pace though and as I told the lads after you left, Sabotage in MW2 >> Sabo in BOPS. Sabo as I said before, is my favourite game type.

Still... COD4 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> BOPS and MW2

Ya shud get it just for the laughs that we have, the mess about games are a lot of fun, its great not caring about dying or nothing just running around goin mental, my kd is so bad on that game an its great to just have fun with it.. That's why I think ya shud get it,? If even just for the riot shield games, or hiding in search.. Great craic if ya ask me.. Can't do that shiite in blops..

random private games are great fun, I dont think I ever played one private game on blops, everyone using riot shields, lightweight and throwing knives versus one guy who can use what he wants is utter hilarity.

Just finished the 1000 armed choppers challange and decided to try a new streak set up. Went for care pack, pred missle and harriers.... oh... my... god! What a great set up... the amount of support per match is absolutely nuts! Nearly every match ends with me totally forgetting to even use half.

Finished my last match last night with a care pack, uav and chopper gunner not even used. Was running pred / harriers / pave lowe for so long its brill to be on a streak after only 4 kills.

care package/pred/airdrop is a great setup too, if you do it on a ground war you can get insane amounts of stuff to call in, if you get the pred and wait for a uav to come in you can easily get the triple kill for the airdrop

ha yeah, they can have uav's and ammo if they want, get the fcuk away from my chopper gunner! least you can take the package way faster. I had to laugh at a guy who sent me an abusive pm once on ps3 calling me a thieving fcuker cos he was taking a package and I got it instead, its was MY airdrop, fcuking dope

I remember one night on xbox I got what surely must be the greatest care package/airdrop ever. the package got me a pavelow, the airdrop had a chopper gunner, emp, predator and harrier in it, people were TEARING across the map to get them lol

I love suiciding when i have an airdrop to call in the getting another one if its early in a domination game or something thats going to go on a while,mmm air support.

Is anyone else finding MW2 a lot easier than it was before Black Ops came out? I'm assuming a lot of good players moved on but by jaysus I was gettin some of my best scores last night. Even picked up a sniper rifle for a last man alive hunt on S&D and got a kill with it and I never ever ever use the things. :pac:

Jesus the difference going from Hardcore back to regular TDM is unreal, am cleaning up, had a 3-4 kdr on every game the past few rounds, just goes to show how headless chicken public player are easy pickings when you slow down your play style

I am a complete amateur at the game, and only recently started playing online with any sort of regularity, but yesterday I finally got to call in my first predator and subsequently, my first harrier. It felt awesome :cool:

Hardcore is the job, you rarely see a killstreak higher than a harrier called in and theres close to zero tubing. I used to hate it because its full of camped, once I realise its full of campers so people arent expecting someone to come charging through the map with a lightweight class and a SPAS in tow you can wreck the other team, went 26-1 on it earlier

TBH I would go aa12, ACR is great for long to medium range and the aa12 is unbeaten when it comes to short range. The two in the same class are savage
