From commentary......"Solan looks back and taunts Everyone Likes A Tryer, holding the ball out towards them in one hand! The ball's come loose and bounced forwards. Incredible!! Well, I guess there was more than an element of 'just desserts' there!"

    What an idiot!

Only one thing for it, you have to sack him.

0-0 with dreamer_ire after 30 mins. Tis tense!

Can't believe you've had two tries ruled out. Have a totally new back row tonight, Baffa looks ok but not sure on the others yet. My sub hooker is also now on as fullback so pepper away lol

I was quite confused with the commentary until I realised that one of my young lads has had his first outing as SH... no idea how that happened, but he seems to be holding it together albeit shakily.

"Ooh! I think that hit the hot dog seller, there's a bit of scrabble for any loose items going on in that section of the stand!" - classic.

Annoying. Won 30-7 but only got 3 tries. Last play of the game had a penalty on their 22 and kicked at goal!:mad:

    Won 62 - 14. Nice.

Threw out a largely reserve team at WNWIM... and got spanked!:D

Congrats Jonny - just reviewing the game now to see were exactly my team was most brutal!

Really not happy with how my players played. 8 played worse than expected:rolleyes:

thought the match was bit odd alright judging by your previous results which were lot stronger. your team just dropped the ball or had knock ons at the wrong times. your scrum creaked a bit too but your line out was alright stealing a few of my throw ins.

Ye the scrum would make sense (my props where fairly lightweight players!), resting normal props for cup and league as I am a bit light on decent front rowers, few backs were out of form - but this was their chance to stake a starting spot and dropped balls do not cut it!:p

Still in the slow process of overhauling squad via academy - got decent 20 players but behind that theres a bit of a drop in quality unfortunately.

Was surprised alright. Considering I was fielding a fairly rag tag mix (esp in the backs), and our respective standings, I was expecting to lose TBH.

10 of my players played better than expected! Not bad attempt by some to get into the 1st team.

I think the penalty count of 22-2 against killed you just a little...assume you weren't playing "by the book"!!!

Just noticed a tiny thing, Yerman should have 3 BL points but they currently have 1 BT and 2 BL but 3 losses.

Unfortunately not, my teams discipline is just bleedin awful. Trying to ship people in and out but its ridiculous prices for new players these days

Looks correct to me. They have two BLs- they lost two matches by 7 or less. They also have one BT - they scored four tries against XaviXI - it doesn't matter that they didn't win.

Glad to see you're paying attention though ;).

Well done Dave, well deserved win even if they BP was stolen from you.

Cheers dreamer. Looks like energy levels caught up with you at the end.
Were you kicking everything? I've never seen meters kicked that high compared to meters run before.

Oh ok, sorry I got that wrong, I thought the BT was rewarded for a win+four tries, didn't realise it was awarded for the tries alone. So does that mean it's possible to get a BT and a BL? So if you get more than four tries and lose within a converted try you get two points? This is yet another angle I have to consider in future, sheesh. Pesky rules.

Kicked a lot cos I'm playing about with a few different things and players. I've been stealing a lot of line out ball with my first second row so wanted to see how the seconds with the replacement hooker did. Now to work out what to play for the cup match.... don't want it to be my last!

Your lineout is looking good alright. It beat the hell out of mine, and mine generally does pretty well.

You scared the **** out of me when I read that. I had set up this match weeks ago at what I thought was wnwim as I'm in Oz at the moment and wasn't sure when I could get online.

Just checked and definitely used wnwim, I must remember to use this team and tactics again, experimenting and a small amount of squad rotation seem to have finally paid off. (did you try something different by the way, I'm very suprised by the result)

Turns out I'm a tactical genius when I play around without paying much attention :D

I was just about to say "I doubt it, he's in Oz at the moment..." but the lad got there himself before me. I must remind myself that they've got internet in Australia these days.

bah - my second team lost with the last play of the game, after leading all game!

Time to run the b0llix off them in training next week to up their stamina a bit :)

Another game with a gigantic total kicking meteres, over 3200 total I think, which must be close to a record.

I thought for a minute after Orizio said it that I did it accidently and ruined my teams energy again but all was well

So you just destroyed the mighty Orizion with WNWIM ? I'm impressed, it's like bloodying Xerxes! So he's NOT invincible!

It must have been an awful match, the ball kicked the length of the pitch nearly once every 2 minutes and it being slowly driven forward the rest of the time :D

Ha my team this week is going to be so god awful. I LTNT'd in the week and failed :P

A lot of very poor players going out

No reply to my 'do you want to go wnwim' request - so Im getting a beating tonight :)

Pants. made a rake of changes to my team, but forgot to change my kicker and captain. Hmmm, could be interesting.

looking forward to my match with orizio. just checked the pre match summary and we're level on most things. should be good game but i owe him one from start of season when he beat me by 7pts. Lets Rock!

24-5 up against eoferall at half time. Not much in it, just seem to be making more ground in attack.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 890 ✭✭✭Oisinjm

17 - 8 up at the half against ladyboys. I seem to be only winning because of the ruck and lineout. Beating me everywhere else. Theyve had a disallowed try aswell

It's most likely as I am still playing a new defense - it's only on horrible at the moment but want to have it higher!

21 - 5 at the moment with Wandering Wanders. Looks quite ropey with the backs, but I chose my 2nd string front row and they seem to be destroying all before them! :)

won 25-10 but my idiot kicker has gone off the boil again. After a whole 2 weeks of playing well he's gone back to missing kicks in front of the posts again. Spanner!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,567 ✭✭✭daveharnett

Managed to beat Wandering Wanders 31 - 12. It got quite interesting for a while there, I had an early lead, then his backs were taking me, then I looked away and somehow I made a comeback.
Lot to take away from the match, my second string front row did a decent job and my 4th string kicker managed to convert every try. Pow.

Im really disappointed. The ****e team i set out were fighting so well. Stamina let them down.

    24 - 25. Sickened

Pool C is really shaping up nicely. Only few points separating top 5 teams.

Pool C is really shaping up nicely. Only few points separating top 5 teams.
Things are starting to take some shape now.

In pool A, Polk High look home and dry, with 6 of the trailing teams battling it out for the remaining 3 spots in the boards cup. Looks like Munster Mark II will be hard pressed to get off the bottom spot at this stage.

The Death Squad and Forza Juve are looking pretty comfortable in pool B. Killarney, the Fookers, Stab County, the Wanderers and XaviXI are all in with a shout of taking the one remaining Boards Cup place. Yermen need to climb two places to avoid a spot in the try harder trophy.

Pool C is still incredibly close, with five teams in real contention of taking the single qualification place. One will be awfully unlucky and find themselves in the try harder trophy.

Last three weeks should be interesting. With most people's cup run finishing up, I expect things will be getting a little sharper towards the business end of our season.

If i keep WNWIM, they have a chance! ;) haha! do the remaining pool A teams go into the lower cups or what happens? is my boards cup run over at the end of the pool stages!?

    From Pool A:
#1-4 qualify for the Boards Cup.
#5-7 qualify for the Almost There Award.
#8 qualifies for the Try Harder Trophy.

    From Pool B:
#1-3 qualify for the Boards Cup.
#4-6 qualify for the Almost There Award.
#7-8 qualify for the Try Harder Trophy.

    From Pool C:
#1 qualifies for the Boards Cup.
#2-3 qualify for the Almost There Award.
#4-8 qualify for the Try Harder Trophy.

Edit: Jonny beat me to it.

I'll add some lines to the league tables to indicate qualification in the next few days.

cheers Jonny, now that I see it I remember that being discussed previously!

cool beans - still have a trophy to win so! :D now will I still WNWIM near the end and when out of BR Irish cup... that is the question!!
