Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    do you go for

    a subdomain ie: http://blog.yourphotodomain.com

    or

    http://www.yourphotodomain.com/blog

Please vote in the poll - Cheers.

    yourphotodomain.com/blog
If you want to promote the blog directly, the former.

If the blog is merely a tag-on to your site it doesn't really matter either way...

(nothing saying you couldn't set the site up to link both to the same place though? Publish it from /blog and create a subdomain forward to that area)

I'd agree. Why do you feel the need to have blog in the title?

    baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I guess.

    Its a good point.

I don't think I need a web site as in a top level domain thingy www.whatever.com so maybe i'm just complicating things by thinking I need a blog somethingorother or somethingorother blog.

I'd agree too. If I had to I'd go for the 2nd option, but if I was going to create one, I'd register pullandbang.com/ie or whatever. I wouldn't mention blog at all.

Same as above, just direct people to yourphotodomain.com and have a ling there to blog (so it'd most likely go to yourphotodomain.com/blog, but it could go anywhere -it doesn't matter! Won't affect your Google juice too much either way

Ditto. Leave out the blog. It only puts people off :p.

If the main idea is to have a blog then really it's best if it's at yourphotodomain.com, if it's an add on to your existing site then I'd probably go for blog.yourphotodomain.com, seems tidier that way.
