Renmore; walkway beside train tracks closed

    Until noon on Wednesday. I don't know why, maybe for maintenance of some sort. This might save someone a wasted walk !

    It's because they're putting in a new bridge at the entrance to Mellow's Park in Renmore.

    Train services have also been disrupted. Passengers are brought on bus to Athenry and then hop on the train to Dooblin from there.

    Also, if you're looking to do the same journey in the opposite direction, expect train from Heuston to Athenry only, then bus from there to Galway.

    Update:

    The trains have actually been running normal since Sunday morning but the walkway was still closed.

    However, the line is now open to pedestrians.
