Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The way the commentator pronounces Kuyts name is very annoying. Sounds like a D4 accent saying "kite"

    albert not playin well.

What is Rieras problem, just play properly for christsake, he should have a good second half though in fairness as that's all you get out of him.

awful stuff so far, the game is as bad as the commentation, had to laugh earlier when urz player was down injured 'eh think he mighta wrecked his head'.

Gerrard asking for more urgency but its not happening.

I watched the Everton game on Tuesday:o and i can't recall seeing the two extra officials come on the pitch. Actually i don't remember seeing them at all.

    Anyway
This game is crying out for Babel, i don't think Unirea would be able to handle him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

people must watch a different babel to me.

Despite how bad we've been I still think we'll win one or two nil. Just can't see Unirea holding out the whole game playing so deep and defensive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,473 ✭✭✭✭Super-Rush

If he showed the same attitude tonight as he did against Arsenal then i think he would cause Unirea big problems.

Strange half, near total control and no product. Riera is not happening, nor is Aquilaini. I suspect we'll see Babel on but maybe 4-4-2 is whats really needed here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,629 ✭✭✭magma69

What a dreadful 45 minutes. It's hard to rip apart a team that is so negative but we really should be creating more considering the amount of possession we have. We need a leader out there. Here's hoping Gerrard comes through for us in the second half.

Doesn't he have 100 odd appearances? I've seen plenty of him. Pretty sure the management see him in training everyday too.

N'gog is not effin good enough!
There I've said it, its been annoying me for a while now:mad:

i think ngog is holding up the ball up really well, made a couple of good chances for people as well as creating a couple for himself from nothing. i like him.

Cant wait for Torres to come back. We are totally lost without him. Hate to say it but its true.

Thats your choice. However trying to be funny, saying we haven't 'seen' babel to know if he's any good is ridiculous. That's all i was pointing out

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

NGog has at least two often three defenders for company, someone has to get closer, hence my 4-4-2 thought.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

terrible performance. I don't know what everyone's on about, N'Gog has been our second best player after Kuyt.

Babel HAS to come on. Lifeless, paceless performance. It needs something. Every one of our attacking players is doing the same thing. Getting the ball, looking at the defender and realising they don't have the legs to get by him, so they pass the ball back to their full-back. It's not really good enough

i'm on my phone, but pretty sure if you check his stats he has around 100 appearances for Liverpool. Amazing how he gets the time between tweeting, rapping and walking out of training.

    Wiki says 70 appearances

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

It isnt ridiculous. Never given the opportunity to play 2 full games on the bounce is 3 years is imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

ok. i reckon 70 appearances is plenty of opportunity to judge a player. attitude stinks. brainless. poor touch. decent shot though to be fair.

Said it before myself but get used to it, this is liverpool now, full of players not good enough to challenge for the big trophies, not enough strength in depth
Its frustrating being an lfc supporter these days

why is he still at the club then? Rafa obviously feels his attitude is sufficiently good to be a liverpool player, because otherwise he could have sold him, replaced him with any number of players with good attitudes/decent ability and had plenty of change.
Rafa clearly feels he has more to offer than someone like that. He deserves starting chances in games like this, otherwise not cashing in on him was a terrible move
