Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Imagine that! Playing two strikers against a team who's doing nothing but defending and you score! Rafa's a tacticle genius.

Babel looking like he wants to play. Great to see.

Why does Babel have to try to beat a couple of players before he does anything? He put a decent cross in for the goal, he should keep putting balls in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

aquilani was not poor. he was meh. some good stuff, some poor stuff.

open your eyes, he's changed the game, he's given us directness. He's beaten the full back a couple of times, and gave a great cross for the goal. You are being way too critical. He's the only one who's tried anything different

IMO he's done enough to deserve a start on Sunday.

yes but TONIGHT he was invisible and it's perfectly reasonable to condemn that performance

Have to admit, I must have missed most of the good stuff.

I think it's still 4-2-3-1 with Gerrard replacing Aquilani and Pacheco replacing Gerrard.

Are Liverpool devaluing the UEFA Cup?
They really are incredibly poor at football.

Good job we have these extra officials now so that they could see the defender touchign that and the ref didnt give a free kick in error ................

Changed the game?! We've been camped around their box the whole match, he delivered a good cross, that's all. Really hope he doesn't start, he just cannot be relyed on. The game sunday is important for us.

Is that who they are? Thought it was a pitch invader the first time, but nobody else noticed or cared so I thought maybe I was hallucinating

    Strange....

I don't mind that at all, just people saying it's very worrying, absolutely go ahead talk about his display tonight but it just seems some are happy ro right him off as useless over a poor performance.

Yep. Albert can be-he's played in and performed very well in huge games for us. Not sure about maxi yet. Also isn't there talk of yossi possibly being fit?

    Alan, Alan, Alan

I feel your to harsh on Babel because of his past performances which were very bad but I thought he really changed the games since he came on, driving at the left back and really looking menacing.

Aurelio will prob play LW with Insua LB

No-one writing him off at all.

He just has to up his game to a higher level.

Riera can be a good player sometimes, but he's anything but reliable. If our manager is picking players on form, Babel will play on Sunday. Riera or Maxi haven't done anything to deserve a start.

And Aurelio certainly hasn't either, he's had a very poor season

Nonsense. Riera has been complete muck this season, his performance at blackburn was an embarassment. He looked punch drunk tonight.

Benny hasnt kicked a ball in quite a while, if hes fit he'd be a good sub to come on.
