Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, can anyone tell me if it's necessary to get a release from the subject if you want to use their portrait on your photography website?

It would always be wise to get a model release signed, especially if you want to use the image.

I guess, technically, you don't need one, but it's always safer to have one.

    It's not a criminal offence. You're ok. :D

It would also have a lot to do with the use of the images, and the rights of those in the photo.

if you are using it in a commercial sense e.g. to promote your business as a photographer, then you do need a release.

If you are using it in an 'editorial' sense, then you do not
