Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm in Kilkenny, watching ESPN on Chorus NTL, and watching the match as I type. Looks like it's a problem at your end so

was it really worth a facepalm ?

if you look a previous Europa league threads varies people have problems with ESPN and this is the first time iv heard NTL allowing ESPN Europa league games

so that is intriguing to learn

why block sky but let NTL go, very strange

I wasn't facepalming that, I meant that we were both going around in circles trying to prove each other wrong, when if one of us just came out at the beginning to say what service we had we would have avoided it. I honestly meant no offence by it, apologies if it came across that way :)

I've only had ESPN since it became part of the standard package, so I wasn't aware that this was the first time they were showing it here or of their history (or lack thereof) of showing Europa League games

For what it's worth, Ajax are gone 1-0 up

Redbull Salzberg continue their European form, 0-1 against Standard Liege

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Just spotted one of these extra officials at the Valencia game.

First thoughts were who they hell is this chap standing nect to the goal.

He looks like a sub warming up as he has tracksuit bottoms on.

Very odd looking addition to the officials

Likeing this, plenty of matches on TV. Choice of Juve-Ajax or Villareal-Wolfsburg. Early games are great for that early evenign tv slowdown :)

Final score between Ajax and Juve
    1-2 (Sulejmani, Amauri x2)

Wheeeennnnnnnn the ball hits the goal its not Shearer or Cole,it's Zamora........

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,793 ✭✭✭✭JPA

Fulham goal: That is surely the best goal Bobby Zamora has ever scored. The soon-to-be England striker picks up the ball from Zoltan Gera and smashes a glorious right-foot shot into the top corner from 20 yards. His 14th goal of the season and an absolute cracker.

Two very good games on ITV tonight (Villarreal 2-2 Wolfsburg, Fulham - Shaktar). Villarreal's goals were class and the second Fulham goal was a cracker, great play from Gera and a stunning strike.

Why oh why oh why would I put Atletico in an accumulator, especially after they'd just won a game, why oh why oh why.

Redbull Salzberg continue their European form, 0-1 against Standard Liege

Went 0-2 then promptly ended up 3-2 to Standard Liege. Could it be the end for Salzburg finally?

i was at the ajax - juve game tonight, a great game, i think those 2 extra officials are such a help , especially in deciding handballs/corners etc

Atlético should have won last night. Typical.

    Bilbao and Anderlecht :eek::eek:

One Bilbao fan banned from San Mames for urinating on the Anderlecht fans..trouble all day in the town with supposedly inebriated Anderlecht fans. Not where you'd expect a running battle...should be an interesting return leg..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,255 ✭✭✭anonymous_joe

Why wouldn't you expect trouble from 'em? Fairly mental groups of fans.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,697 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

I would've emphasised fairly in fairly mental, as far as I was aware..

Mind you given Anderlecht's away record in Europe, I'm not surprised they'd be at breaking point :)

Good to see Fulham continue to do the business.

45 mins: In Italy, two former Liverpool players have scored: Riise for Roma, and Djibril Cisse for Panathinaikos, who lead 2-1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,280 ✭✭✭Bukman13

If they get another they should be through.

Glamour tie against Ajax or Juventus after this.

3-1 now. Such a shocking result for Roma, they need 4 goals to go through now, despite playing what looks quite close to a full strength team.

Brian Kerr is a surprisingly good pundit IMO!

C'mon Fulham. It's pretty hard not to like Hodgson
