Mkv to Avi convertor free??

    Hi folks,

    I bought the dane-elec 1tb for a friend from Easons. Loading the media onto it and i need to convert about 8 files from mkv to avi.

    There is a million covnertors out there that claim to be free but arent,

    Anyone reccomend a simple foolproof free one?

    Hi There,

    As I use my PS3 as a media server I use a programme called MKV2VOB which works great and is free to download from the MKV2VOB site...
    I`ll be buying a media server soon that plays MKV however as I`ve heard that the quality degrades with the conversion to VOB
