Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hit and hope?

He aims to get a lot of movement and hit the target, rather than pick your spot and go for it, a la Beckham. The sort of movement that is hard to read. It travels straight and then could move either way making keepers look silly.

Yes, he works on that technique and has perfected. He hit's the ball with the intention of it moving a lot before being on target. He just aims to hit the ball on target. Strangely, with the same technique the ball looks like it will move a lot but stay pretty still, like tonight and against Portsmouth.

I bet if there was a way to add up how many yards wide or over a players free kicks were over the course of a season Ronaldo would have won by a country mile last season.

But it's not just hit and hope, he knows where it's going to, if he hits it right. I think he has the ability to score every free using the technique most players use, but it'd be less spectacular.

This ref needs to be shot

    Never a peno

Was the first one even a peno ?

The first one was definitely a penalty, Higuain I think was tripped up, denying him a certain goal.

was hard work in the end, ref sent Alexis off for non-existent foul and Getafe pulled one back but we held out. We were already short of optins at the back (Bruno, Mathieu and Navarro all injured) so it was Maduro who came on. Chori Domniguez started and played well though should have scored in a one-on-one. Red card had effect of galvanising fans against ref/linesman/Pedro Leon. Hoping for good support on Thursday, will prob be a full house as VCF are giving extra free ticket to all abonados who buy a seat.

    Banega is outstanding.

I would take him to United in a heartbeat.
