Am up in Monaghan atm, and we've had a good couple of inches of snow overnight, slowly thawing now though.

Sky still very dark so there may be more.

So now we have got that outta our system, hows things looking for Tuesday ?

    06z should be out soon

Good for the Northern half of the country. GFS has prospects slightly further north over Ulster but the ECM has the East principally at risk which is interesting.

Chance of some showers over the northern half of Ireland today, sleet and rain during daylight, but again like yesterday, after 7pm or 8pm expect snow. Areas at risk of snow are N Leinster, S Ulster - then later on into NE Leinster and N and E Ulster.

UPDATE: The above post has now been superceeded by the 6am run and the showers will now be more concentrated over W Ulster and NW Leinster. Other areas previously mentioned are removed from the watch.
