Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

After 6 months out injured, I'm planning a low key comeback on Sunday the 28th in Dungarvan. Ran this race last year and found it very well organised. Looks like the course will be a bit different this year, but hopefully should still be fast.

    Is anyone else heading down?

Def be there to give Sosa a beating. The food after it is worth the entry fee. Although its lent its 9 days away. You ran well last year.

Is the start easy to get to? I'm sure it'll be signposted on the day, but I don't really know Dungarvan that well.

I think it starts and finishes where the 10 miler finished in January.

Showry may confirm this and let us know about the route

What time is it on at? If you had a helicopter standing by, could you do both?

As VR says, the food alone is worth the entrance money to Dungarvan! If you're barged out of the way when heading for the bourbon cream biscuits, then that'll be me. Sorry.

Race starts at 11:00. As for food afterwards, nothing can beat the offering that the Eagles will put on!

Looks like the forecast isn't too bad for Sunday, after having been for a gale and lashing rain earlier in the week.

Is the start in the centre of town now?

It starts and finishes where the 10m finished

Just want to post what a great race this was. Efficient registration, changing rooms with hot showers, accurate course with people at the splits shouting out times, good atmosphere, tea and sandwiches afterwards and results online before 9pm the same night. All for €8!

Good to meet VR and Sosa before and afterwards, and I was delighted to set a new PB of 36:02 in my first race in 9 months. If only I'd been 3 seconds faster....

Wow. Great result, DBC. How fast can you be if you aren't returning from injury?
