Gaelic Telecom Help!

    Hows it going everyone.
My parents switched from Eircom to Gaelic telecom there recently, and I have been having a few problems with it.
We still have our Netopia router from Eircom too by the way.
Anyway, my PS3 is the worst NAT type it can be and I have had no luck port forwarding, it just is not working.

Secondly, when downloading Torrents, my download speed is usually 1.2KB/S, or around that, and I don't know if that is good or bad, but I think I need to port forward for this too.
How can I do all this? I have tried port forwarding but it does not seem to work, so unless I have done something wrong, can anybody help me out!?
