Where to buy a screw or stud in Galway?

    Where might I get some wood to metal studs/screws ?

    They are a stud where half is threaded to screw into wood & the other half threaded to take a nut.

    I appreciate that this might go in DIY but I need somewhere in Galway of possible.

    I will try your suggestions but they are a very specialised item. Even a lot of the online suppliers don't sell them.
    Defo no from Woodies !

    I was actually drinking a Stella when the wink arrived !

    As requested. In looking for a pic I have discovered that they are also called dowels

    I think they are actually a component of hand rails bolts.
    As earlier stated Tripart would definitely be the place to go, but I would suggest to you that if your having trouble getting them form a hardware to try a stair manufacturer or a joinery shop for as mention above hand rail bolts. They would be very similar to, if not the same as, the bolts in your attached photograph.
