What is it about so many Irish sites and not being updated in a timely fashion? For example the Meteor site has still to be updated with information about the awards ceremony this week.

http://meteormusicawards.meteor.ie/ (right now 21/02 @ 23:20, 2 days after the awards ceremony it hasn't been updated)

Surely they are missing a major opportunity for some traffic? Also, the GAA website is brutally slow to be updated with results etc. I no longer go to the GAA website when looking for results because I know they won't be there on time. I'm sure I know of plenty other examples. Do these companies not employ someone to make sure their websites are up to date?

I sent a mail to Meteor to ask why they hadn't updated their site and I got a reply (copy and paste job as it was directed at someone else) to say that the site had been updated with this years winners

Not only has this years winners not been updated, last years aren't there either. They have updated the other page with this years winners so you'd think I would have been directed to that page instead.
