I'm thinking of having an 80s themed party for OH and hope to put together goodie bags for all the guests with sweets and treats from years gone by and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get my hands on 'Big Time' 'Kalipso' 'Trigger' 'Giggle' bars or other 80s treats?

Your best bet is the Euro shops. There's one great one on ... ... on ... ... Talbot street (I think?). It's on the left-hand-side of the road as you head towards the Point Depot/O2 Arena. There's also a fantastic shop (same company) just inside the entrance to The Square (the entrance nearest to the LUAS depot).

I don't recall Postman Pats...? The retro sweet 'scene' is much bigger here than back home in Ireland. Even Morrison's here sell Parma Violets, but I've seen Flying Saucers and Dan Bars in the market here in Leicester too. The market here is the biggest city market in all of europe... ;)

I've not seen postman pats in a long long time, not sure if they can still be gotten.
Kevster postman pats were like fruit salads/black jacks, they were pink strawberry milkshake flavour I think, in blue n pink wrapping.

I vaguely recall them, but your description matches the center one found here:

Thanks guys, that slipsweetshop looks great, definitely going to do the party bags now, thought I would have trouble trying to get my hands on these sweets.

I also found out that 'big times' are available from http://www.chocolatewarehouse.info/bigtime.html you get 56 bars for 16 euro - happy days!

I feel a trip to the dentist coming on...
