Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How to accessorise a Blue Dress?

    Blue + White = Classy

    Blue + Yellow = Funky

Blue + Black = Risky but looks great when you get it right

    Blue + Pink = Cool

This is all going by how my sister dresses but I think I got it reasonably accurate for a guy.... :)

Hey folks I'm new here but lurked around a little.. Looking for a little advice on a blue dress I just got in Kookai for a wedding

    http://www.kookai-boutique.co.uk/Catalog/Product.aspx?ProductID=101P1665(CATALOG_PRODUCTS)&variantID=3603524450275

I'm not really sure what to do with it! Blue is kind of an awkward colour... Shoes-wise especially...White? Orange? I have gorg black wedges that are a definate fall-back if I cant find anything else suitable.

    Any help appreciated!!

I always think silver is gorgeous with a deep blue. Silver heels and clutch would look lovely with it.

Thanks for all the replies, certainly food for thought!

I woulda never said silver as I've never had anything that colour bar jewellery in my wardrobe... I'm not sure I'm mad about strappy silver shoes so I dunno would I wear them again but if I find a nice pair in the next wk it might be a goer! White also might be a goodie except its hard to find white shoes that don't look like bridal ones!

No not white, honestly, will absolutely take the look from the dress! Believe me.
I think it depends on how brave you are - you could totally funk up the outfit (depending on the wedding!) with brighter colours - Clash it with Lemon as mentioned earlier. If the wedding is more sedate go for Silver, silver full shoes are everywhere, doesnt have to be strappy sandles.....Get a silver item for your hair too and you cant over load on the jewellery with the shape of the dress, simple chain and earings, BIG hair and shoes! Sorted!:)

Gold would be lovely with that blue either :)

    +1 for Gold too!
Deep blue and gold can be absolutely stunning if done properly, far nicer than blue and silver imo which can tend to look tacky.

You could also try red if you were feeling brave enough? Look at all the nautical stuff in the shops at the moment to find the right shade, there's loads of the whole blues/reds/whites combos to choose your inspiration from!

    Best of luck and enjoy!

I'd go for either gold or pink, have a dress in a similar colour and found silver awful with it. Just my opinion though!!

Yeah the silver thing isnt bowling me over... Neither is gold really, I think with both colours it can be really hit and miss! I actually have a pair of nude Faith open-toes that I hadnt considered but look pretty good with it.. Its just I think nude brings a whole new level of annoying in accessorzing further! Ill hit some shops anyway this wkend, have just a wk to get this sorted so thanks for all the help peeps :)

Personally I'd pick black, like they've done in the photo. Add a big black ring/chunky bracelet and you're set!

Oh I love gold with blue! Is it a summer or spring wedding? If summer that cobalt blue and gold would be gorgeous :)

    Gorgeous dress and gorgeous colour.

Shocking pink would work well as would a vibrant Coral
