Not a huge fan of smoochy songs per se, but lyrics mean a lot to me.

Elbow always write songs with such meaningful phrases about loving and growing old with someone, it always gets me, even though the music of the songs themselves don't sound typically mushy:

I thought listening to the songs on this thread would make me feel sad, rather it has put me into a nostalgic mood with a grin on my face.

This song isn't too high on the sloppy/sappy scale, but All These Things by Stephen Speaks always manages to make me feel warm and fuzzy when I hear it.

I like it because the man is saying he loves this woman for simply being herself and for the little things you learn about one another that most people aren't aware of.
