Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So, I can sign into my yahoo mail account but after that the inbox never loads. Also, ebay works fine apart from when I want to bid on something. The the confirm bid page won't load. I'm experiencing these problems in both Firefox and Internet Explorer. Anybody got any ideas on how to solve these? Thanks for any help!

    Sounds like packet loss.

    Do this.

    Start>Run>type "cmd" without quotes.

Then when a black command prompt loads type the following without quotes:
    "ping www.boards.ie -t"

Let it runs for a couple of minutes, then hit "Ctrl + C" to stop it.
When its stopped you will get something like this:

    Ping statistics for 89.234.66.107:
Packets: Sent = XY, Received = XY, Lost = XY (XY% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = XYms, Maximum = XYms, Average = XYms
    Control-C

Where XY will represent you own values. The XY beside "loss" is you packet loss. What do you get?

BTW is it only the two sites yahoo and ebay?

    Here's what I got:

    Ping statistics for 89.234.66.107:
    Packets: Sent = 16, Received = 16, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 312ms, Maximum = 373ms, Average = 342ms
    Control-C

It's only those two sites so far. Some sites require a refresh every now and then, but that won't work with mail or ebay. It's a brand new computer I just got last week. I Norton Internet Security running. Could that be affecting anything?

Well that might be your problem :P , 3 "broadband" is completely useless AFAIK!

Try clearing your cache and cookies.

I've never had this problem before though and I've had 3 for over a year. I've already tried clearing cache and cookies. Didn't fix it.
