Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Any ideas on the cheapest method here? All flights are over around €130. Eurolines (Bus) is attractive at €48 but they leave at 1800 28/02/10 and don't arrive until 0630 01/03/10 and I'd have work on the Monday.

    Any suggests welcomed.

    Thanks

Fly Ryanair from Stansted on Sunday morning? Seems to be about 60pounds.

    SailRail?

Virgin Trains departing London Euston at 9.10, arrives Holyhead at 12.50.
Stena Line departs Holyhead at 13.50, arrives Dublin 17.05.

£30.50 if you go by Sailrail as Victor said. You'll need to call Stena, too late to book it online.

Not a good day for SailRail - it's Sunday and there are weekend engineering works on the North Wales Coast, plus trains out of London will be very busy as a result of the Carling Cup Final.

    However you can do it:

Depart London Euston 0945 Arrive Crewe 1155 (Virgin Trains)
Depart Crewe 1227 Arrive Chester 1250 (Arriva Trains Wales)
Depart Chester 1304 Arrive Rhyl 1426 (Arriva Trains Wales)
Depart Rhyl 1436 Arrive Holyhead 1555 (BUS)
Depart Holyhead Arrive Dublin Port 1915 (Irish Ferries)

Similarly you can leave London at 1935 and arrive at Dublin Port at 0555 with changes at Crewe, Chester and a bus from Rhyl to Holyhead.

Cost is GBP 30.50 and tickets can be purchased on the day at the booking office in London Euston.

All flights are going to be pricey with both fans returning from the matches at Twickenham and Wembley.

Maybe stay over at an airport hotel and come back first thing Monday.

could you get cheap flight to Belfast and then get train/bus from Belfast to Dublin?

Thanks for the advice lads. I'd be further fussy in that I want to leave London later than 1200 and be home by at least 0300 Monday.

I'll keep rooting and use the suggestions you've given.

    Thanks
